The register that carries a spot now is the one that sounds like a person who believes the line — the calm hand on the shoulder in financial services, the quiet promise in insurance, honest weight in a PSA without the manipulation. Announcer is there if the board asks for it, but it is rarely what the copy actually needs.
Every read here was recorded and engineered in my own room — a Neumann U87ai through a Neve 1073, in a treated home studio in San Diego — and cut the same way I’ve been cutting music for fifteen years.
